Shared lounge was great for awkward encounters. Complimentary WiFi was a lifesaver for my social media addiction. The nearby buffet breakfast was the highlight of my stay.
Forgot to mention that the terrace has a lovely view of the parking lot. How delightful.

During my stay at Gate80 Kyoto Nijo, I was delighted to find a spacious and comfortable common area. They even had a cozy Kotatsu and complimentary tea, coffee, and miso soup, which was a lovely touch. What impressed me the most was the presence of a bathroom with no time limit, and they even sold bath salts at the front desk. The bed, in the form of a capsule, provided enough space and privacy. Additionally, the hostel was conveniently located, with easy access to the city center, and there were plenty of nearby grocery stores, restaurants, and convenience stores.

the location was perfect, right next to a bus stop for easy transportation around the city. the hostel itself was spacious, with plenty of common areas to relax in. the female dorm room I stayed in was also spacious, with lots of natural light during the day and dark curtains for a good night's sleep. the showers and toilets were impeccably clean, as were the rooms. There was even free tea, coffee, and bread with jams for a relaxing morning. The computer provided was also very helpful for organizing my next destination and airport transfer. Cons: Nothing everything was great! 😊.

The common area was equipped with fun activities like pool table, table tennis, and SF2 arcade games. the shower room provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, which was convenient. I liked that the hotel offered bike rentals at a reasonable price, making it easy to explore the city.
The location of the hotel was slightly inconvenient. It was a 15-minute walk to either the JR station or a 25-minute walk to the subway line.
